Dr Catherine Allison, Registered Osteopath
Catherine has a keen interest in working with sporting injuries but is also passionate about helping people stay active and achieve their health goals, regardless of whether you are an elite athlete, a weekend warrior, or a Mum wanting to walk your kids and dog around at Park Run.
Catherine has worked alongside football clubs in both Melbourne and the Bellarine Peninsula as a sports trainer, and trained and worked as a Bootcamp instructor with Original Bootcamp Australia. Catherine has been heavily involved in the sporting community from an early age, originally an avid track runner, netballer and touch football player. More recently, Catherine has competed in both domestic and international triathlon events, having placed 2nd in her age group at the ITU Duathlon World Championships, and now competes across a variety of events as a long distance runner.
Catherine’s extensive experience as an athlete is pivotal to her work as an Osteopath and through years of training Catherine has developed an extensive understanding of how the body moves and why injuries occur. Catherine has completed additional training in neuromuscular dry needling and holds a clinical Pilates Diploma. Catherine has also spent some time working at Fertile Ground Health Group and has experience in working with pregnant patients and expectant mothers. When not at the clinic, you can find Catherine riding her bike, running the trails, or having coffee at the local cafes on the Bellarine.
