At Move Beyond Mascot, our physiotherapy team works alongside you to understand what matters most — whether that's returning to sport after a knee or ankle injury, managing pain related to your job, recovering from surgery, or simply moving more freely day to day.

Our clinic is located at 214-220 Coward Street, Mascot NSW 2020. Mascot train station on the T8 Airport & South line is a 5-minute walk from our clinic on Coward Street. Our team at Move Beyond Mascot supports a diverse range of clients — from those returning to sport after injury to workers managing the physical demands of their jobs.

We take an evidence-based approach to every assessment and treatment plan. Your physiotherapist will take time to understand your full health picture before recommending a course of care that fits your life, your schedule, and your goals.

We’re not just treating symptoms—we’re focused on long-term outcomes that empower you to get back to doing what you love.

FAQs

Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist in Mascot?

No referral is needed for a private physiotherapy appointment at Move Beyond Mascot. You can book directly online or call the clinic. A referral from your GP is only required if you are accessing a Medicare Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan. WorkCover, DVA and TAC are accepted without a referral.

What conditions do physiotherapists treat at the Mascot clinic?

Our Mascot physiotherapists treat a wide range of conditions including sports and running injuries, knee and ankle conditions, lower back pain, shoulder complaints, post-surgical rehabilitation, TMJ pain and neck-related headaches. We also have remedial massage and NDIS allied health support at this location.

How many sessions will I need at the Mascot clinic?

This depends on your specific condition, how long you have had it, your personal goals and how you respond to treatment. Your physiotherapist will discuss a realistic timeline with you at your first appointment in Mascot — we never recommend more sessions than are clinically necessary.

Do you treat running injuries in Mascot?

Yes. Several of our Mascot physiotherapists have a specific interest in running injuries. Whether you're dealing with a stress fracture, shin splints, knee pain or Achilles tendinopathy, we can assess your biomechanics and training load and help you return to running as efficiently as possible.

Can a physiotherapist help with long-standing pain?

Yes. Our Mascot team takes an evidence-based approach to persistent pain, looking beyond just the physical to consider broader contributing factors. We work collaboratively with you to develop a plan that is realistic, goal-focused and built around your life — not just a course of treatment.

Can I claim physiotherapy through Medicare at Mascot?

Standard physiotherapy is not covered by Medicare. If you have a chronic condition and your GP has referred you under a Chronic Disease Management (Enhanced Primary Care) plan, you may be eligible for rebates on up to five allied health visits per year. This must be set up by your GP before your first appointment at our Mascot clinic.

What is the difference between my initial and follow-up appointments?

Your initial appointment at Move Beyond Mascot is 60 minutes and includes a full physical and medical assessment, hands-on treatment and a personalised care plan. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes and focus on reviewing progress, advancing treatment and refining your exercise program.

What should I bring to my first appointment in Mascot?

Please bring any imaging (X-ray, MRI or ultrasound), referral letters, your health fund and Medicare cards, and any WorkCover or TAC claim numbers. Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows the physiotherapist to assess the area of concern.

Where is Move Beyond Mascot and is there parking?

Our clinic is located at 214-220 Coward Street, Mascot NSW 2020 — a short walk from Mascot station on the T8 Airport & South line. There is on-street parking available near the clinic on Coward Street.
